Full Rulebook & Trade Plan π₯
Thermal Breakout Strategy
Core Idea
Thermal Breakout is a trend-following liquidity + FVG strategy. You wait for a clean liquidity break, then a pullback to a Fair Value Gap (preferably nested M5 + M15), and enter with EMA alignment, volume, and supply/demand confirmation.
The key: patience and discipline β only take the obvious, clean setups.
Step-by-Step Rules
1. Chart Setup
-
Timeframe: 30s (preferred) or 1m.
-
Candles: Heikin Ashi.
-
Indicators: EMA stack (20/50/200), Thermal Breakout arrows, FVG + Liquidity zones.
2. EMA Confirmation
-
EMAs must be fanned out and aligned in the same direction.
-
Skip if EMAs are weaving or flat (chop/range).
3. Liquidity Break
-
Need at least 2β3 candles closing clearly beyond liquidity line.
-
Wicks alone β breakout β look for body closes.
-
Avoid double bottom/top traps.
-
If HH + LL (higher high + lower low) = messy market β skip.
4. Retracement
-
Must pull back into a valid FVG.
-
Preferred: nested/double FVG (M5 inside M15).
-
Price should move away first, then come back to retest.
-
Weak/single small FVG = pass.
-
Donβt take entries if M15 FVG already mitigated.
5. Entry Confirmation
Confluences required before entry: Liquidity grab complete
FVG retest (nested = strongest)
EMA stack aligned
No major S&D zone blocking path
Volume supports direction
Arrow/reaction candle confirms
6. Execution
-
Risk: 0.5β1% per trade.
-
Target: 1R (1:1 RR) until confident.
-
Once consistent β can extend to 1.5β2R.
-
-
SL: just outside Thermal SL line or beyond structure/FVG.
-
If PA turns messy β take BE early.
7. Skip Conditions
No liquidity break
Messy HH+LL structure
Choppy/ranging EMA stack
Trading into unmitigated Supply/Demand zones
Trading too high in the trend (extended move already done)
No FVG retracement
News distortion
